Sam Samore is known not only for his photographs but also for his radical retelling of traditional stories, fairy tales, and great works of literature. As a storyteller, Samore changes characters’ sexual identities, redirects their desire, and weaves wild incidents into the narrative — disrupting the moral fixity of historical forms. As the author himself states, he “can take the stories and rewrite them over and over, using a multitude of possibilities”.
